WHEREAS the Council of the
Village of South River has been very conscious of each and every expense having
an affect on the annual budget; and
WHEREAS the Councillors
have traditionally been paid an annual stipend based on a base salary plus
remuneration by attendance at each council meeting, shared committee meeting
and regional meeting; and
WHEREAS the April 30, 2009
edition of the Almaguin News listed the remunerations for the municipalities in
the District of Parry and Sound; and
WHEREAS the Council of the
Village of South River was identified as receiving less than half the average
remuneration in comparison to all other municipalities listed; and
WHEREAS the elected
representatives for the Village of South River devote an equivalent number of
hours and are responsible for the same amount of work as their neighbouring
colleagues;
NOW THEREFORE BE
IT RESOLVED THAT this Council of the

Administrator to attend the North Eastern Ontario Municipal Planning Authority

policy.

Council of the Village of South River does hereby read a first, second and
third time and finally pass By-law 15-2009, being a by-law respecting
construction, demolition, change of use, conditional permits and inspections
and does hereby repeal all other by-laws or agreements of the Village of South
River pertaining to a building by-law with the Mayor and the Clerk
Administrator and the corporate seal affixed.
