The Village of South River

Requires a

Part-Time Public Works Operator

The Part-Time Public Works Operator is responsible to actively participate in the maintenance and construction of all Village roads, sidewalks, parks and water distribution system. To work on other public works projects and community support programs of the Village of South River in accordance with Council Policy and Provincial Legislation (including but not limited to the Ministry of Transportation, Department of Fisheries and Oceans, Ministry of Environment and Ministry of Natural Resources). The Part-Time Public Works Operator reports directly to the Chief Operator or, during times of vacation, training or sickness, the Chief Operator’s designate.

The Part-Time Public Works Operator must possess a Class DZ license, a current CPR/First Aid certificate or be willing to obtain these certificates in a reasonable time frame agreed upon at the time of hiring.

Maximum 24 hours per week. Additional hours may be added in the case of an emergency or necessity as identified by the Chief Operator or Administration.

Rate of pay: $16.50/hour. No benefits.
