The Special meeting of the Council of the Village of South River was held on Monday, May 16, 2011 in the South River Council Chambers. A quorum was present. In attendance were Mayor Coleman, Councillors O’Hallarn, Smith, Mahon and Dickerson.

Staff present was Susan Arnold, Clerk-Administrator.

1. Call to Order – The meeting was called to order by Mayor Coleman at 5:30pm.

2. Declaration of Pecuniary Interest – None

BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Council of the Village of South River does hereby accept the minutes of Monday, May 9, 2011, as printed.

Adopted

This Special meeting of Council was called to work on the draft of the Village of South River Strategic Plan. Council had requested each department provide goals and objectives which could be incorporated into the overall goals and objectives of the Village.

Results from the survey which had been distributed to residents and ratepayers in the winter were also included in the discussions.

Good progress was made and a typed first draft will be provided to Council at the next regularly scheduled meeting.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Council of the Village of South River does hereby read a first, second and third time and finally pass By-law 17-2011, being a by-law to confirm the proceedings of Council at its meeting held on the 16^th day of May, 2011 with the signatures of the Mayor and the Clerk Administrator and the corporate seal affixed.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT this Council of the Village of South River does hereby adjourn to meet again as the South River Council on Monday, May 30, 2011 at 5:30pm. In the South River Council Chambers located at 63 Marie Street or at the call of the Mayor. Time of adjournment: 7:51 p.m.
